We welcome everyone – architects, other built environment professionals, students, families and friends.
Join us for a tour of 105th Sheffield Scouts HQ, winner of the Sheffield Design Awards People's Choice award and a Judges' Special Award for Community Value 2024. We might also be joined by Scouts!
Race Cottam Associates drew on the iconic ridge tent as an architectural form for the new Scout headquarters. Delivered with a successful Youth Investment Fund (YIF) application, the new building replaced the outdated 1960s hut on a short timescale. It provides the Scouts and the broader community with a modern two storey adaptable venue for a wide range of activities. Setup by the Sheffield Civic Trust The Sheffield Design Awards recognise exceptional contributions to our built environment across Sheffield and South Yorkshire and to encourage the highest standards and quality of design in the built environment.
The biennial Awards covers a range of categories including residential, commercial, education, healthcare, heritage and conservation, and landscape.

Parking is available in the adjacent leisure centre car park and surrounding area (except for Pack Horse Lane, which is double yellow lines).
The tour will include going up steps to the first floor.
